Family and friends of Alice are warming invited to attend her Funeral Service to be held at Kurrajong Baptist Church, 66 Kurrajong Road, Kurrajong.
My Lovely Sister in Law saves the Day
Joan BurgessJohn was at Sheffield University, freshers ball. I needed a ball gown. No way, 2 small children!! Couldn’t afford a dress full stop. Alice said we can change her wedding dress for us both to use. We worked into the night, putting a velvet bodice on & sequins on the net skirt.
Sucess.
4 years on, John’s degree dance, Alice said “Borrow my dress”. A beautiful slim satin cream dress and gloves. She saves the day again & I got lots of compliments. She also lent me a fine wool day dress to go to a wedding.
Thank you Alice. I could not have gone to any of those functions without your help.
She was a sister in law & friend for over 70 years & I will miss her

I have memories that go back 60 years. However, the most recent one was delightful. We enjoyed good food, good company & good music together, over a few precious days in Cheddar, about 8 years ago. Alice loved Cheddar, sitting in the garden, listening to classical music. I felt blessed to have them & I wouldn’t have missed it for the world..
