  • Don was a great friend that always had an infectious smile no matter when we saw each other.
Many a great time was spent with you and Larraine at Tamworth as you loved your Country Music.
The times we caught up for a day or more you loved a joke and lots of laughs were had by us all.
Our heart goes out to Larraine and family at this time.
Don you will always hold a special place in our hearts and thoughts. You will be sadly missed.

  • What a lovely gentle soul this man was !! It was music that started our friendship as with so many of his others. Don was a stalwart of support for us and for so mamy other artists !! His loss will leave a large hole, such is the reach of his generous kindness !! Rest in peace Don, It is an honour to bid you farewell !!

  • I met Don & Lorraine about 12 years ago when they started coming to see my shows. Since then they continued to follow my career and turn up at gigs all over the country side. Don would always have a big smile on his face and we would all catch up each time they were there.
Don was always good for a laugh & no matter what was going on with my career would encourage me & take time to talk to chat.
When Lorraine was not well he would sometimes still come see a show and although I knew he felt lost without her by his side, he would come and fill me in on how she was.
Gunna miss you Don, thanks for all the fun & laughs and I hope we all get to have more Country shows in heaven altogether oneday with you up front...with a smile & joy you could not miss x

  • My uncle Don was a very happy go lucky man. He had a passion for music which has passed onto his children, he loved getting away in his caravan to enjoy Australia.
I especially liked to see the 3 brothers, uncle Don, uncle Sid and my dad Ken together. The banter, joking, laughing and reminiscing was like no time had passed at all.
Uncle Don was a loving family man always interested and keen to know how everyone was getting on. He was taken way to early but how lucky are we to have had him in our lives. Lots of love Jenny.

  • Dad I will alway remember you driving through life whether it was for work in a delivery truck or for leisure with the caravan in tow. You had a motorbike in the early days and us kids loved it when you took us for a ride around the backyard. Your car was your sanctuary so I hope your drive to heaven was scenic. RIP Dad love you.

Don, the sweetest man, who will be sadly missed by so many.

  • Don and I share a strong passion for music, and we love to run into Don and his wife Larraine in our travels. Absolutely beautiful, angelic people. Love. Hamish

  • Don was always behind a camera or video recorder and I will always remember one of his videos from our wedding. Don recorded the journey from where we had the wedding party photos taken to the Reception all from the dashboard of his car. It was so unique - driving quietly along the beach road with the soft sound of the windscreen wipers and no words were spoken. But no words were needed. It just sums up Don to me - a quiet achiever who went softly about his ways but was always capturing memories for everyone at every occasion without any fuss. I will miss your funny jokes and sense of humour. Love you and rest in peace from Sue & Michael xoxo

  • Hi
I knew Don for over 3years as his GP.
It was always a pleasure to see him along with Larraine. He always had big smiles and a joke to make me laugh. It was one of saddest days of my practice when I got to know his terminal illness.
I know that Don enjoyed his life and he traveled all over the country. As much as he could.
I am sure he was proud of his wife and kids who was by his side until very end..
It’s pleasure to have known you. May you Rest In Peace my friend.
