The first time I walked though the door with Jason , Glenn took me in as one as his own, I will never forget the feeling I felt when he called me his daughter and told me how much he loves me . Along with his warm gentle embrace of hugs that memory and many more joyful memories I will never forget. Glenn was and always will be my dad I will never forget what he has helped and done for Jason and I though everything , Glenn was there for us though thick and thin no matter what it was he never gave up on us . He will live on forever in our memories and and he will never leave our hearts. Glenn was not only a father to Jason but also his best friend , you couldn’t ask for anything more in life. I have a lot more to say but it’s to hard to do. Love you dad forever xoxo
Chloe Jason ApplebyI remember the day I went into labour with Skye. Jason and I had to track down glenn and judy so they could mind jayden. I remember Glenn giving Jason his car which was the maxima to take me to the hospital. I was so worried that my waters were going to break and that the seat would be ruined. Glenn's response was don't worry the seat can be replaced. There r so much more memories to tell but this was my favourite one. I love u dad.
Sandra martinThe very first time I met Glenn he kind of reminded me of my dad it had to be his way and thats it Glenn was a good mate down to earth bloke would help anyone out I remember working on cars and bikes and we would have a couple of beers and just talk about anything the best memory I have off Glen we were coming back from Rooty Hill it was at night time the car was full I was laying in the back there was a car battery and a Jack next to me and everytime Glen went around the corner I got hit by one of them and he just kept laughing I remember when Glenn used to come to my house my dad and Glenn would be working on a motorbike and they would argue about the littlest thing it was quite funny we would laugh about it and we would get in trouble for it I will always remember you mate I know you're looking down on all of us especially your family you will always be missed but never forgotten rest easy mate my heart goes out to the family
Shane GardinerMy first lesson driving was with Glenn at Port Macquarie when I was 16. Nyssa had just passed her L’s and Glenn decided the three of us could go for a trip so Nyssa could practice. Glenn made sure all his kids could drive a manual. I was included.
Layla ScerriNyssa and Glenn picked me up on the way through with her L plates proudly on display. Nyssa comfortably made it up there as driver with Layla as bar tender in the back seat. Once we arrived at Port Macquarie, Glenn had had a few roadies on the drive and thought it was perfect time to give me a lesson in preparation for my L’s test. Nyssa in hysterics encouraged it. I actually did well!
At 19 I bought my first manual car. The next time I saw him I proudly told him. I’ve stuck with a manual since.
I love you Glenn, I will cherish my memories of you forever.
A great memory of Glen, when he decided to teach wade and I to drive a column shift van on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere
Luke HillianFun times, first time behind the wheel
he will be missed by all that knew him
Rest In Peace
So many memories from over the years.... One of my fondest memories of Glenn was during a repair to my One Tonner after a front end collision. After straightening out the front end as best we could, Glenn then stuck an empty Tooheys Red can in as an indicator. When I laughed he looked at me & said ' I can make it work if you want, it may not be legal, but it will work!!!! No one else I know would come up with such a solution. Glenn, you were a great mate & I will sorely miss you & your shenanigans. RIP My Friend.
Tracy ConnellI was privileged to get to know Glenn as a neighbour being a tough guy but with a beautiful soft and loving heart. He will always be remembered fondly.
