Favourite memories
  • I have very fond memories of my time with mum but more especially the past 4 years that mum was living in the Hawkesbury. There were many weekends where mum would stay over the weekend at our place for lunches with family. Special times with her Great Granddaughter Caitlin.

A weekend away for her Granddaughters wedding in the Southern Tablelands. There are many memories that I will cherish and hold dear to my heart,

Miss you already mum; Love you dearly X

  • I was fortunate to be able to spend some quality time with mum in recent years. I especially remember her first overseas trip when we went to Queenstown in NZ. Mum loved the travelling and the opportunity to sit and talk.

In NZ mum would constantly ask if we had her passport and Dawn would remind her it was in the zipper section of her handbag. This went on every day of the trip until the last day when we were flying out of NZ and mum said "I don't need my passport to get back into Australia, they know me"... Yes very funny.

I also remember mum asking the cashier in one of the many tourist shops in Queenstown we visited, "do you accept real money" and the lady responded "that depends, what type of real money are you talking about?" Mum responded "Australian dollars, of course...."

    Love you Mum xox
