  • I had the pleasure of meeting Max only twice - once at Faf's Kitchen Tea at Maroota and once at Faf's/Rob's wedding. On both occasions I was able to glean that Max was a made with solid family values, a salt of the earth man, a humble man and a gentle man. You will miss him dreadfully, so I offer these words of peace:
Deep peace of the running wave to you
Deep peace of the flowing air to you
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you
    Deep peace deep peace
Deep peace of the sleeping stones to you
Deep peace of the wandering wind to you
Deep peace of the flock of stars to you
    Deep peace deep peace
Deep peace of the eastern wind to you
Deep peace of the westeren wind to you
Deep peace of the northern wind to you
Blue wind of the south to you
Pure red of the whirling flame to you
Pure white of the silver moon to you
Pure green of the emerald grass to you
    Deep peace deep peace

  • My memories of Max were when heading to the Dealership to carryout some task was, ":make sure you get here around lunchtime JF and we will have some lunch together". Max was always tricky to catch at work, he was always running somewhere to do something. Over the next 30 years plus of knowing and working with Max, I loved my visits with him and we would often talk about family and solve the world's problems.

We enjoyed many chats together about his and my family and he was always amazed about how many grand children I had. He loved Marie and his girls immensely and was proud to talk about them and he was over the moon when his first grand child came along, although he would say that he had some catching up to do to reach my 15.

He was a honest and unassuming man, ( a gentle giant) with very high values and morels. I will miss our chats together but will always remember the good times we had.

  • The best memories I have of Max are from when we’d visit Maroota with Faf to pick peaches in the summer. Just as she’d described long before I met him, he was a tall, no-nonsense dad, unassuming but quick-witted. The banter between him and his daughters was hilarious to observe, and guests like me would also occasionally find ourselves the subject of these jovial exchanges! But there was a deep love and respect mixed with a crazy humour that made time spent with this family so much fun. Above all, I distinctly remember being struck by the witness of Max and Marie’s marriage; their example of mutual respect and faithfulness has never left me. Rest in eternal peace, Max

  • I didn’t meet Max until I’d heard a thousand stories about him. His Faf talked constantly of the hard working, honest, no nonsense, tall Dad who adores his girls and was adored in return.
His legacy is a family who love one another, who know the meaning of hard work and sacrifice, the Dad who was the standard for any men in their life to be measured against. Rest In Peace Mr Endicott.

  • My favourite memories are of me and Faffy sitting around the garage talking, watching Mr E pottering around the property in his short blue work shirts and a dirty white singlet. Every now and then he’d make a comment or two but he was always industrious, mostly quiet, doing a billion imoportant things all at once ☺️
