Favourite memories
  • The memory I hold of Dad is that he was a protective and proud man who supported his family through the generations in their various sporting and academic achievements.
Dad loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren so much.
I will always love you Dad and you will forever be in our hearts. May you rest in peace.

  • My favourite memories of dad, where do I start. Dad was always there for us kids he was very proud of us all. Dad took me to all my netball games whether it was club Netball or district following me for many years. He always made sure there were presents at Christmas time & our eggs at Easter. He made Steve very welcome in the family later always talking about the old days of punting & racing with lots of stories to be heard. He always had time for Lisa growing up & all his grandchildren & great grandchildren later in life.

I know you are with the love of your life now.
    Rest in peace now Dad

  • I have two memories of Dad, the first is at formal functions when he would take mum out on to the dance floor & they would glide across the dance floor as if their feet were not touching the floor. This always brought a smile to dads face & a tinkle to his eye. This tinkle had dimmed since mum left this earth 14 years ago.
My second memory is our chats we had of Dads younger days as a tradesman, sportsman & his courting of our mother with his dancing skills. This always brought a smile to his face & mine too.
I know Dad & Mum are together again dancing through the clouds & catching up on old times.
Lots of love Dad & I miss you both.

  • My favourite memories were in my younger years that we played cricket in the back yard and we had great times on holidays.
I also have great memories when we travelled to golf with the neighbour and were just so happy to arrive safely as only Dad and Rob could understand. Most of all I appreciated the support and effort that Dad put into my sport.
In my adult years my best memory of dad was the support that he gave his grandchildren and his great grandchildren that he loved so much.

  • My favourite memories were the simply things in life, like when we were younger children, at the weekend we would walk down to the shops to buy the morning paper and Dad would buy us a packet of fruit tingles to munch on as we chatted on the way home. Later in life I enjoyed sitting with him to talk about the days of his youth and life in Newcastle. He was such a story teller.

  • My favourite memories was going along to watch my dad play cricket , then later in life play together in the same team . Also loved playing golf with him.
