Nigel and I had a lot in common -we were about the same age both born in rural NZ travelled young and arrived in Sydney the same year - working with Nigel was very stimulating an education actually - he had a huge knowledge of world events history and geography plus photography travel and gritty UK crime shows not to mention a very dry humour and witty observations - he was a very generous kind gentle person whom i was very privileged to know and we all will miss him dearly - deepest condolences to his loving family.
Kelvin G BourkeUncle John was a genuinely good bloke. I remember coming over to Aussie to work one summer while at uni - John put me and a mate up in his house at Nelson Bay. He really went out of his way and came up from Sydney to settle us in, just a casual three hour drive each way! Just an example of the kind guy that he will be remembered as. RIP mate.
Robbie PeckJohn was my big Brother of who I hadn't seen much of since I moved to the other side of the world but that didn't mean I wasn't thinking of him.
David ParkinThey say the good die young which he was one of the good.
I remember in 2002 I went to visit him and without my knowledge he waited until I arrived to help him assemble a garden shed that he had , I thought I was going for a holiday but we soon built it.
Rest in Peace big Brother and will always remember you with Love.
I remember Nigel as a great bloke easy to get along with and always had an interesting fact to tell you. I know that he would open up his payslip in a very controlled manner making the neatest cut into the envelope he also said that he had kept every payslip since he had worked with Australia Post. RIP Nigel
