  • Alan was the younger brother of Eric and Joan and the youngest son of Stan and Winfred Smith of Singleton NSW. Alan and Connie visited us when in WA. We visited when in NSW and many a good yarn. We kept in touch as often as was possible and spoke on our birthdays just to remind each of us that we are getting younger the other side of 50. I am unable to attend this service today but prays go to a life that was usually pretty full on. Now rest in peace in Gods loving care now that all the pain has gone.
Alan, your promotion to glory is a blessing after the many years of suffering

I would appreciate if this could be read out at Brother Alan's service please

  • God saw you getting tired
This fight was not to be
So he sent an Angel to you
Who whispered "Alan come with me"

With tearful eyes and sinking hearts
    We watched you slip away
And though we loved you dearly
We could not make you stay

    A golden heart stopped beating
    You're now at peaceful rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
    He only takes the best

    Gone from our touch
    Never from our Hearts.

Missing you already, Love you always Pop

    Love Crystal

  • The first time I met Alan he took me in like I was a son. He accepted me for who I was. He would make me laugh with his Little jokes and always knew what to say to cheer people up. Alan you will be sadly missed. I will never forget that cheeky smile. RIP Mr Smith aka Dad.
