  • My Grandmother was more than a grandma, she was my best friend.

Grandma "Ella' loved when I came up from Canberra and took her out for the weekend. The amount of trouble we got into, the amount of times we ran over speen bumps doing 80ks her old songs we sung, the laughter we shared the hooning around in the car and the amount of shitty food we ate and enjoyed. She loved little boys (cocktail frankfurters) , she loves bangers and mash she LOVED HUNGRY JACKS cause you actually got "fat chip, not these small rubbish ones from maccas"!!! I would listen to every story she told ( 100 times over) like it was the first time I heard it, because I loved her face when it lit up speaking about Scotland. She loved to have fun. She lived to 90 not many people can say that, she was a tough old bugger who I loved more than anything. The only promise I never kept was keeping her in her own house, in her own bed. She always said to me "ohh Maggie dont worry - I love you and you keep me going". My grandmother was perfect.

She is in the arms of my grandad, and that makes me feel at ease.

these are 3 over her FAVOURITE SONGS - if you knew her well enough you would know this!

Until we meet again - I Love you

  • Grandmas singing always was a delight. She would sing and it would brighten a room with the emotion she poured into her songs..
I’ll miss her hugs, her smile, her love and all the happy times we spent together.

Give me again all that was there,
Give me the sun that shone!
Give me the eyes, give me the soul,
Give me the lass that's gone!
